Corsages & Buttonholes
Nothing beats a simple corsage pinned to your dress. A combination of roses and eucalyptus leaves looks stunning to an addition of any outfit, and they smell lovely. This floral statement is favorite for many Mum's & Female guests to the bridal party at a garden event, Barn Venue, or Marquee typically.
A Modern Wrist Corsage is a more modern corsage, where as per tradition it holds a design of handpicked statement flowers to match the brides theme and more traditionally is attached to a wrist band of satin ribbon but now can be attached to pearl or diamante bracelets for that extra special effect.
We can also do Hair comb with Flowers wired to the comb to bring that splash of colour to the hair arrangement or even a hat can have a floral design added for that something extra for the special day! please ask us
Brides are always asking me, who should wear a buttonhole? This is such a personal choice. Some brides like to just choose family members who are a part of the ceremony. For example, their father who will walk them down the aisle or the immediate family members in the front row. Others like to have buttonholes for grandfathers and even brothers and uncles. I recommend you choose who is important to you and who you would like to be included in a special way with a floral buttonhole on your wedding day.
When thinking of the best bloom to use for buttonholes, I always recommend choosing a bloom that has been used in the wedding bouquets. This way the whole bridal party of ladies and gents look like a complete set and will appear polished and perfect for photos. Colour is also a great way to differentiate the groom from the groomsmen.
Roses are by far the most popular choice for buttonholes as brides often carry roses in their bouquet. They are very traditional and they are a bloom that lasts really well for this application. While they are a classic choice, they don’t need to be used on their own. Taking the rose buttonhole to another level, combines it with berries foliage to add interest and texture. Satin ribbon is also a lovely way to finish and let the blooms be the stand-out feature.
